Wrap Up for Walking For Creative Practice
This class has been inspirational and humbling. I appreciate how much I learned in gathering inspiration from the world around me - varying my point of view, or focus for a time to really change up the monotony of this time. I look forward to using some of these exercises when I'm feeling uninspired. I came to realize that online learning is very difficult for me, but that created the opportunity for me to look at the learning difficulties I have in a remote setting. While I wasn't as successful a student as an in-person class, I definitely will take what I've learned about myself to make these online classes a (hopefully) better fit.
I have personally been experiencing a difficulty in maintaining a creative practice during the pandemic. My family has been struggling with health issues, and my focus has been elsewhere. My efforts for creativity have mainly been in sewing masks, and the reason I took this class was to get out of my own way and do something just for myself. I think I bit off more than I could chew! This class did inspire me to read more - and that has been the most boost to my energy level. I look forward to reading "How to Do Nothing" in full.
I have been spending more time outdoors - and when I do, I have found that I am more aware of my surroundings - checking for which birds are making which sounds, investigating rustlings, and very excitingly, a small family of bunnies get closer and closer each day!
